It's embarrassing to admit, but when a book or movie gets suspenseful I want to know what happens at the end. I have been known to turn to the last page just to make sure everything works out okay. Then, it doesn't bother me to go through the trial or conflict with the characters because I know what is going to happen. I was thinking that I wish life was like that. If I only knew the ending of any certain situation my day to day life would be so much easier. I was reading a book tonight and came across this quote: "God doesn't want us to know the future. He wants us to know Him." It's so true. And the thing is, by knowing Him, I know that it will all work out in the end. Another quote: "If it's not working out, it's not the end." I don't know the exact details of how I'm going to get there and what will happen between now and eternity, but "I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 8:38) His love is all that matters. The ending has been written and I can turn the page to make sure it's all going to work out. I just have to learn to trust Him in the process and know that his ways are higher and better and he can do "far more than I would ever dare to ask or even imagine..." (Ephesians 3:20)
The end :)

It's been so long...
It's been so long since I blogged anything on my short-lived blog ( a whopping 3 posts!) I had to dig through my facebook profile to even find the address so I could log in. Ridiculous.
Anyway, funny story: Josh and I pull into our apartment complex, after a weekend in Dothan for the Aman Family Reunion, and I have this strange feeling. I start looking around and in a panicky voice ask Josh where his truck is. We look around, he backs up and we pull in again like it's going to appear out of thin air. I ask if someone could have taken it. Then my mind leaps to a phone call to the police explaining that his truck has completely disappeared and there is no evidence or fingerprints or anything! Josh is upset; I don't even remember what he said. This goes on for maybe three minutes. Then it hits me- his truck is at my school where he picked me up on Friday. RELIEF!
